🌞 Grounding Into Summer: Energy Reset Tips for a Season of Change



Summer has officially arrived—and it’s making an entrance. The solstice just passed, and much of the country is heading into a serious heatwave. If you're already feeling a bit off, scattered, or overstimulated, you're not alone. Summer energy is expansive and intense, and this is often when our nervous systems start asking for support—even before we realize it.


🌿 Why Grounding Matters in Summer

Grounding is how we return to ourselves.

It’s not about doing less—it’s about doing things with more awareness. Feeling your feet on the ground. Coming back into your body. Letting your nervous system exhale.

Summer, with all its light and energy, is also the time we most need to ground. To reconnect. To reset.


✨ 5 Grounding Practices for Summer Energy

Here are a few practices I’ve been sharing with clients lately—simple, free, and easy to do anytime you feel like you're spinning out.


1. Touch the Earth (Literally)

Walk barefoot in the grass or lie down under a tree. Let the ground support you. Five minutes is enough.


2. Smell Something Natural

Your sense of smell is directly tied to memory and emotion. Lavender, pine, peppermint, citrus—whatever resonates—can instantly bring you back into the present.


3. Close the Tabs

Energetically, summer can feel like 21 browser tabs open at once. Choose one thing to let go of today—a plan, a chore, or an obligation. Let that be enough.


4. Use Water Intentionally

Take a cold rinse, dip in the ocean, or splash your face. Water helps clear and reset energy.


5. Pause Before You Say Yes

Even good things can overload us. Check in with your body before agreeing to plans. If it doesn’t feel like peace, it’s probably not alignment.
